Lisa's primary areas of practice are zoning, municipal, real estate, general corporate law including not for profit corporations and homeowners associations, and estate and trust administration. In connection with her zoning practice, Lisa has presented zoning and annexation petitions before many local municipalities, including Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Lakewood, Woodstock, Lakemoor, McHenry, Elgin, Lake Zurich, Cary, and the County of McHenry. Lisa served as the attorney for the Village of Lakemoor for eighteen years until 2011.
Lisa is a former trustee of the Village of Lakewood, Illinois and has served on the Lake Safety and Enforcement Committee in Crystal Lake, Illinois. She has served on the Board of Directors of First Colonial Bank for McHenry County, Crystal Lake, IL, and also on the Board of Directors of Lakeside Legacy Arts Park in Crystal Lake. Lisa is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the McHenry County Bar Association.
A lifelong resident of McHenry County, Lisa has witnessed the evolution of the county from rural area with scattered small towns to an urban area with several large towns competing for commercial users and fringe areas of farm land and open space. This "local knowledge" is a key component of her zoning and municipal practice and representation of local homeowners associations.
Lisa enjoys being active in the Crystal Lake and Village of Lakewood communities where she and her husband, David, have lived for many years. She also cherishes time spent with her son, Luke and her mother, Joan. Her hobbies include gardening, golf, running and keeping up with friends and family.
